Our take
I picked up this 20 lb rubber hex dumbbell for home workouts, and it does the job without fuss. The handle feels comfortable and secure, thanks to the light knurling, and the chrome finish looks decent. I appreciate that it uses standard 1-inch plates, so I can add my own weights later. The included collars hold plates firmly in place. On the downside, the rubber coating has a slight odor at first, and the dumbbell is a bit shorter than I expected at 5.5 inches overall. But for the price, it's a solid entry-level dumbbell for bicep curls and shoulder presses.
